Al-Fatihah

As one of the earliest complete revelations, Al-Fatihah was revealed in Mecca to teach believers how to approach the Qur'an as a prayer for divine guidance.

Al-Fatihah is a foundational prayer for divine guidance, opening with praise for Allah's Lordship, mercy, and mastery of the Day of Judgment, and concluding with a plea to be led to the straight path.

The Surah opens with praise and glorification of Allah, acknowledging His supreme attributes and sovereignty. It then transitions into a direct plea for guidance to the straight path, distinguishing it from paths of deviation.

The Surah after this one is Al-Baqarah.
