Even in masaajid where the Qur'an is recited daily, the focus is almost always on pronunciation — almost never on understanding. Cultural stigma around asking questions, a lack of accessible resources, and inherited tradition have left many feeling disconnected from the very text meant to be their guide.
"How am I supposed to love something I don't understand?"

What We Built
A guided companion that sits beside you as you read.
Not a translation app. Not a reading counter. A companion that brings the insights of scholarship directly to the verse you are reading — context, wording choices, thematic connections, stories, the Names of Allah, reflection questions. Eight layers of insight, mapped to every verse, in two reading modes: free exploration and a guided five-phase structured journey.
Inspired by the Roots Academy Qur'an course, which showed us what it looks like when Muslims are actually taught to understand what they recite.
